Young adventurers across Moray could bag a FREE Wild Things autumn camp place as the outdoor charity celebrates a bumper season of getting children out into the wild.
Wild Things has launched a special competition with three prizes up for grabs – including a free camp place, a bushcraft shelter and a Wild Things fleece.
It comes after a packed summer which saw youngsters ditch the screens and head outdoors to explore Moray’s coast, rivers and woodlands, track wildlife, discover hidden worlds and learn traditional outdoor skills.
And the fun isn’t stopping just because summer is over.
Wild Things is rolling straight into its autumn programme, giving children the chance to pull on their boots, get muddy and experience the natural world as the seasons change.
Wild Things CEO Holly Willmott said: “Summer is always a brilliant time for us because we see children completely immerse themselves in the outdoors.
“They explore, get muddy, investigate wildlife, learn practical skills, make friends and, most importantly, have fun.
“But behind all that fun, something really important is happening. We see children grow in confidence, become more independent and discover skills they may not even have realised they had.
“For some young people, outdoor learning gives them the chance to shine in a way they may not always experience in a traditional classroom.
“And the adventure doesn’t end with summer. Autumn transforms the landscape and gives children a completely different natural world to explore.”
The Moray-based environmental education charity has spent more than 20 years helping people of all ages connect with nature – building confidence, curiosity, resilience and practical skills along the way.
Now it wants even more local families to discover what an outdoor adventure can do.
