Wild Things is an award winning environmental education charity working in Moray, Aberdeenshire and the Highlands. Since 2003, Wild Things has enabled over 36,000 children, young people and adults to learn from, protect and find inspiration in their local natural environment. We believe that the natural world is for everyone to enjoy, irrespective of age and ability.
Our charitable programmes create transformative experiences, supporting health and wellbeing, community connection and conservation, cultivating a culture of care for each other and the natural world.
Our programmes encourage a mutually beneficial relationship between individuals and nature. We provide the opportunity for our participants to understand, appreciate and care for the natural environment. At the same time they gain new skills, confidence, and interests.
SUPPORT OUR WORK
Our activities benefit all age groups from nursery age children to older adults. We work in partnership with a range of organisations providing extra support for young people considered ‘at risk’ or who are struggling within mainstream education. We also work with vulnerable and older adults.
Adventure DaysAside from charitable programmes Wild Things is also an accredited training provider. We provide training to those who wish to lead their own Outdoor Learning programmes through courses such as our Woodland Activity Leader Training course.
