Lighting Up Hearts And Minds

Last week we had the absolute pleasure of working with pupils from Milne’s High School, Fochabers, who joined our field instructors for a hands-on journey into the world of traditional firelighting.

From discovering how to create a spark the old-fashioned way to understanding the science and skills behind building a safe, sustainable fire, these young people threw themselves into the experience with enthusiasm and teamwork.

And because no good fire session is complete without something delicious… we even baked a cake over the flames!

A huge well done to all the pupils who got stuck in, asked great questions, and brought such energy to the day. Experiences like this help build confidence, resilience, and a deeper connection to the outdoors – and that’s what Wild Things is all about.
