Become an outdoor leader with Wild Things

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented outdoor practitioner to join the fieldwork team in the delivery of our charitable and social enterprise programmes, from March-November 2026. If you have experience in delivering high quality outdoor education and have a passion for sharing your love of nature with others, we would love to hear from you.

The right candidate for this role must have experience delivering outdoor education, environmental education and/or bushcraft skills to a broad client group as well as being able to compellingly engage with people of all ages and ability levels and lead groups from the start.

We would like to bring into the team someone who is playful yet professional, who loves sharing time outdoor with others, both young and old. Our ideal candidate will engage people on a variety of our activities that promote an understanding and care for the environment as well as the health and wellbeing of our clients.

To enable the smooth flow of our programmes, the ideal candidate will also have excellent organisational skills and have experience of logistics, preparing resources, planning outdoor sessions and equipment care.

The successful candidate will hold relevant qualifications or experience in:

• Leading environmental education and other outdoor activities (rellevant qualifications are highly desireable including Woodland Activity Leader Training NCFE L2 or Forest School L3)

• Bushcraft Experience & Outdoor First Aid qualification

• Hold a clean driving license (a D1 licence is highly desirable).
