Could you be a Trustee for Wild Things?

The board of trustees is currently seeking new members from a wide variety of personal and professional backgrounds to join the board. Wild Things is at an exciting time in its development, having appointed a new CEO in 2018 the organisation has continued delivering an exciting programme of charitable activities, placing older people and health & wellbeing at the centre of their work, while supporting the development of outdoor educators and trainers through accredited training activities. Trustees play an essential role in the governance of Wild Things, working as a team to define the organisation’s strategic direction and to support and champion the work of the charity.

You will play an essential role in ensuring the charity is running as it should, that it represents its beneficiaries, and that the organisation remains true to its mission and objectives as well as ensuring that the charity’s activities remain transparent and are sensibly managed. You will also contribute your professional expertise to all strategic decision-making of the board. As a trustee, you will influence the shape of Wild Things as it grows and develops as well as providing a unique opportunity to champion the benefits and importance of mutually beneficial relationships individuals and communities have with the natural world.
