Bags of Help from Tesco Forres

We are delighted to be able to announce that we have received £2000 funding from Tesco Forres’ Bags of Help initiative, for our River Findhorn Restoration Project. This really will make a big difference in our community.

The project will engage the community in hands-on activities to help restore the local natural environment along the River Findhorn. Participants will help to remove invasive non-native species such as GIANT HOGWEED from the banks of the River Findhorn as it flows through the Forres area. This will conserve and protect the habitat for rare wildlife and plants and open up a beautiful recreational pathway which is currently inaccessible in the summer. We can’t wait to get started!
