Habitat Restoration Project

Wild Things has been tackling non-native invasive species on the lower Findhorn River to great effect. Giant Hogweed, Japanese Knotweed and Himalayan Balsam are all plants which out-compete native flora, radically altering the biodiversity of fragile and unique Scottish habitats.

We are committed to eradicating the presence of non-native invasive species along the banks of the beautiful river Findhorn. Working closely with our partners, Findhorn, Nairn and Lossie Fisheries Trust as well as dedicated volunteers from across the Forres community, we are beating back invasive species.

These pictures reproduced with kind permission from Findhorn, Nairn and Lossie Fisheries Trust shows the difference our fabulous team of volunteers and instructors have made over the past few years to our site in Waterford, Forres.

Our fabulous volunteers are taking a well earned rest over the winter, but we will be back in spring next year, do check back then if you would like to volunteer on this programme.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
