Basha Boat Building

Come and learn to build your very own “bush craft” on one of our Basha Boat Building days. Along with other essential bushcraft skills our experienced instructors will teach you the traditional techniques required to build your own Basha Boat.

A Basha Boat is a watercraft made from tarpaulin, rope, forest brash and wooden sticks, all combined with a great deal of humour and delicate skill!

Our Basha Boat Building workshop is designed by one of the UK’s top bushcraft and naturalist instructors, who honed their trade working with Ray Mears. These workshops can be run over a single day or over two or more days, incorporating wild camping, foraging and cooking wild food, camp craft, knife work and craft activities.

A Basha Boat Building workshop is a fantastic team-building exercise where your feet might get wet but your pride will soar when you set sail out to sea on your own handmade boat! This programme is suitable for people aged 16 years old and above.

Wild things! provide all food, necessary field equipment, tools, and outdoor clothing.

Instruction and supervision is provided by our qualified and experienced Wild things! activity leaders. Maximum group size is 12 participants. Emergency Transport (4-wheel drive vehicle) is always available.

Our Basha Boat Building workshops are excellent value and we are able to offer these at a range of different pricing options dependent on your requirements and the number of persons involved.

Please Contact Us for costs, availability or additional information about these days, or if you wish to make a booking.
