Conservation
Do you want to have fun, get fit outdoors and make a great contribution to conservation in Moray? Then our new Blue Gym is for you!
The current focus of this conservation project is to help our native plants to regenerate on the Findhorn River by tackling the problem of invasive non-native plants such as Giant Hogweed, Knotweed and Himalayan Balsam. Sessions are open to all, however, on Fridays we are offering sessions that particularly focussed on improving mental health and wellbeing were we will also be exploring the world around us, tasting wild food, learning plant identification and carving skills and doing other bushcraft activities. These sessions are free and will be happening every Saturdays as well as weekday evenings during the summer. We will provide all tools and safety equipment and will do a pick up/drop off in Elgin and Forres for anyone who needs it.
