We provide environmental education activities for local primary schools in and around Moray, Aberdeenshire, the Highlands, and the Cairngorms. The programmes we offer focus on accessing and learning all about the fantastic natural resources right on our doorstep.
We strive to make incorporating our programmes into the curriculum as simple as possible for the schools involved – we provide transport, equipment, tools and quality outdoor clothing for all pupils, if necessary. Our enthusiastic and qualified leaders bring a wealth of experience, practical skills and conservation knowledge, along with educational games and inspiring camp-fire stories. Where appropriate we can also provide materials for use in school so that the learning can be continued and incorporated into the curriculum.
“All aspects of the curriculum can be explored outside. The sights, sounds and smells of the outdoors, the closeness to nature, the excitement most children feel, the wonder and curiosity all serve to enhance and stimulate learning.” Building the Curriculum 2: Active Learning in the Early Years
